The founder of Children's Academy Lucknow (1970) and Children's Academy Playschool Mussoorie (1992) was Mrs.June Usharani Misra. She did her initial schooling from London (U.K) and later St. Mary's Nainital, Loreto Convent, Calcutta and I.T College Lucknow. 
The popular Chinese proverb States "If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees; if you are planning for lifetime educate people this sums up the entire philosophy and vision of our founder. She had a versatile personality. Her love for the children was very evident. She was an outstanding painter. She could play piano and violin also. She helped the children to explore their own potential and motivated the teachers to do their best by taking their workshops on how to teach.
